Child Advocacy Center

Helping make our communities healthier

The Child Advocacy Center is a safe and healing environment for children who have experienced abuse –serving as a place to be heard, while also finding counseling, justice and closure. At the CAC, interviews and investigations of child abuse are conducted with sensitivity and compassion.

The Child Advocacy Center offers interviews and investigations of children who have experienced abuse. The environment was designed with the child’s comfort and well-being as a top priority. The CAC allows the community law enforcement and legal teams to pursue reports of child abuse more effectively. Most importantly, the CAC, located at the Suzanne Gresham Center, is a caring and healing environment for a victim of child abuse. Each child who comes to the CAC receives support from a multi-disciplinary team which is comprised of individuals who represent: law enforcement, prosecution, legal teams, child protective services, victim advocates, medical care and mental health. The multi-disciplinary team is able to pursue reports of child abuse more effectively and efficiently, resulting in higher prosecution rates.

Meridian Services’ Child Advocacy Center has received full national accreditation by the National Children’s alliance. At this time, only four of Indiana’s CAC 21 facilities have met the rigorous standards to receive this accreditation.
